While most people out there are very happy with their Nintendo Wii some consumers have found it isn’t what they expected. The good news is that these seem to be isolated incidents instead of a problem with the development and technology that was used to create the program.

It seems that the most common problem that people experienced with the Nintendo Wii had to do with the power source. It simply wasn’t fitting properly and therefore not enough power was supplied. Imagine being in the middle of a very competitive game and then you lose the power to it. Not something you want to experience on a regular basis. Nintendo has changed the design for the adapters though with the newer consoles. Anyone with an older one that offers such trouble can ask for a new one to be sent to them free of charge.

For some individuals, their Nintendo Wii has been working just fine for a very long time. Then suddenly they start to experience error codes that pop up. Sometimes this is an indicator that your Wii needs to have work done on it. However, most of the time it is due to a glitch with an update that occurred. Since Nintendo sends such updates automatically to your system you may not even be aware that they took place.

For example when they updated the connection to the internet recently these errors were coming up all over the place. In many cases this can be reset and you are on your way. Some people have had to either send their Wii in to be repaired at no cost or Nintendo sent them a new one for free though. There weren’t too many of them though were a patch wasn’t able to repair the problem without any action on the part of the consumer though.

A few people have purchased Wii consoles that didn’t work at all. They were doing everything right but they just got a bad system. Even though Nintendo does test them at the factory a bad one does slip by now and then. Such issues are easily resolved though by returning the first gaming console to the retailer or by contacting Nintendo directly. It can be disappointing but you won’t have to be worry about losing out on the money you paid for it.

While it is unfortunate that some consumers have experienced problems with the Nintendo Wii, it is to be expected with any product of this magnitude. The good news is that Nintendo is going to offer you their full support on getting the situation rectified. You will find plenty of good reviews about this all over the internet. While it won’t be fun when you have such problems, knowing you can get great customer service does make a big difference.

Nintendo also takes the situations that seem to be a common theme and makes them better. One of these issues has to do with the wrist strap to hold the Wiimote in place. A common complaint was that it was very weak. Therefore Nintendo developed a stronger one that is offered with the consoles on the market now. Consumers can go online or call to request that a replacement is sent to them at no charge as well.
